David Ha
Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist
Welcome and thank you for exploring my profile! The process of therapy begins with hearing your story and the things you are struggling with. I hope to provide a non-judgmental, safe place where counseling care is contextualized to meet your needs. I believe that what we do flows from who we are. And when we experience various traumas/stressors in our life, there is a chance we can internalize them and believe unhealthy narratives about ourself and the world. While learning coping skills/practical tools are important, I have learned that working through the core/root issues are where long-lasting healing takes place.
My areas of focus include: depression, anxiety, low self-esteem, trauma, family of origin issues, couples counseling, relational stressors, children/teen counseling, life transitions, grief, spiritual/identity issues, negative self-talk, challenges with boundary setting and religious trauma.
My previous work experiences include work with the Center for Integrative Counseling and Psychology, Recovery Resource Council, Buckner International, West Dallas Community School and contributions with Highland Park ISD. I offer in-person/virtual options throughout the week, including evening hours. I look forward to hearing your story.
