Katy McDonald
Licensed Professional Counselor

Picture
Having raised four children, two of whom we adopted, I am able to understand the unique needs and stains of both motherhood and children trying to find their place, the stresses of being a mother and how our thoughts and feelings effect our relationships.

It wasn’t easy to find a therapist that used mercy and truth. But through those challenges, I learned patience and listening skills that allowed me to assist my clients in achieving their goals.

I feel it is important to give my clients autonomy in making decisions using evidenced based methods such as Person-Centered and Solution-Focused therapies as well as Christian based principles. I would like to be the therapist that gives you a safe place to talk, actively listens and helps you establish your goals to achieve a healthy outlook on life that results in healing and growth.
