Nigel D'Souza
Licensed Professional Counselor
Life can be rough, let’s acknowledge that, and then learn how to push through together. There are times that we can feel at the bottom of the pit, I want to understand what brought you there, and help you use your unique skills to climb out. I offer a space for you to just be you; as well as a space for processing, furthering abilities, and self-exploration. We can overcome, and no situation is too dire.
My role in therapy is to be there alongside you as we discuss what is going on. I believe we all have our inner strengths; having said that, there are periods where we do not feel them. At times, we might seek someone in a judgement-free environment for goal-setting, divulging feelings, and guidance. Together, we will work to find what works best for you.
Every person that comes to counseling, comes for a reason, and I applaud their efforts in bettering themself. It is an honor to be alongside you when you are your authentic self and wanting to work on your issues and overcome the obstacles.
Therapy with me looks like us working as a team to acknowledge the issues, accept what is going on, and learning how to adjust while keeping respect to your unique morals, values, and beliefs. Upon meeting, we will learn what brought you here, discover what are the barriers in the way of your growth, and set measurable goals towards change. I practice through an eclectic approach of a few modalities based on the client's needs.
