Emily Ha
Certified Child Life Specialist
Hi, I'm Emily Ha. As a Certified Child Life Specialist (CCLS) with a Master's degree in Psychology and advanced training in thanatology (the study of death and dying), I am passionate about helping children and families navigate some of life's most difficult moments.
For over 15 years, I have had the privilege of supporting children and families through some of life's most difficult moments. My experience in a Level I trauma center and an ABA-verified pediatric burn center has given me specialized training in helping children and families navigate medical trauma, painful procedures, anxiety, grief, and loss. I know that when a child is hurting, the whole family is affected.
Whether you're preparing your child for surgery, trying to help them process a frightening medical experience, adjusting to a new diagnosis, navigating a serious injury, or grieving the loss of someone you love, you don't have to walk through it alone.
As a Child Life Specialist, I provide developmentally appropriate psychosocial support to help children understand and cope with difficult experiences while empowering parents with practical tools to support their child with confidence. My goal is to help children make sense of what is happening in ways that feel safe, honest, and empowering while helping families build resilience together.
